The subtitle of this wordy and predictable thriller film is “A Grief-Stricken Woman”. Sharon Leal plays the leading character in “The Lady of the Lake” which takes place between the Manhattan and Lake Ronkonkoma regions of New York.

Synopsis:

The film takes us back two years to when Jamie had just completed her last year of school, allowing her a summer spent with friends at Lake Ronkonkoma. The situation, however, is not good as it is the lake’s very first death of her brother who drowned and started Jamie’s family corner. But while she struggles through her family turmoil, she gets involved in the stories of the lake and backstories that have generationally haunted the Schultz family and the people in the area. Deciding she could not let the legend go and would pursue the death of her brother, the bewitching Jamie only succeeds in uncovering deep-rooted evils hidden beneath the bottom of the lake.
