The film disentangles the complications and the humor that can arise from cultural differences , and how plans never seem to go where one hopes them to, Disaster Holiday is directed by Rethabile Ramaphakela and is a South African family-comedy that came out on Netflix on December 13, 2024. The movie I believe is a great recipe for bringing laughter to the families.

Production and Cinematic Style
With the backdrop of the coastal city and the diverse culture, Disaster Holiday beautifully highlights the stunning views of Durban. The film editing enlarges the differences between the family’s dreams and the unfortunate reality that they face and uses visual humor to further their comedy.
Rethabile Ramaphakela who has worked on How to Ruin Christmas, is a director that is situated comically while also being very accurate on family matters, he captures the Director’s aspect brilliantly. The script however has a balance with humor, as you see various characters adapting to the nature of the scene.

REVIEWS
To date, the film has received a Rotten Tomatoes audience score of 32 percent which is indicative of unfavorable review from the audience; however, some fraction of audiences recommends otherwise as well.
Kavi Kanyoko provides Jonathan Digby a hug, which is prompted by his single life, while other viewers find this film to be shallow and generic in terms of concept.
Even if the premise of the movie is rather captivating, critics concur as it has a conservative approach in its execution, other than being a family comedy. Except for the acting, Joseph is much more charming and endearing than Kenneth Nkosi, who was Canadian.
