The 2024 horror-thriller “Operation Undead” which was made in Thailand has uses World War II setting as backdrop for the story. It is a unique combination of history along with horror, explores events in the war as a different type of action.
Synopsis
The year is 1941 and World War II is in full swing, the historical upheaval that forces Thailand’s Chumphon Province into the spotlight leads a Japanese invasion. Mek is a fresh recruit sergeant in Thailand’s army and his younger brother Mok, a member of Youth Soldier unit are pulled into the Srivichai historical events. This resulted in a gruesome combat when the Japanese Invaders unleash an invention; a chemical agent that alters human genetics into ensuring they are ferocious and inhumane, practically creating Zombies. This indescribable warfare should have proven to be the harshest faces of combat, unfortunately though (as if it was not enough) it was trading places with a different wide spread horror, when a truce is called between Thailand and Japan, Mek is entrusted the task to assist in a strife to control the restrain with an infected distraught unit of his brother.
