Who Kidnapped My Mom? is a lifetime movie thriller that is infused with action and family drama as it tells the plot of a woman looking for her mother. The film centers around a brainstorming style of evolving the plot as family secrets and motives are unlocked one by one. A twist or a turn is always at the tip of the film with the character of Josh Collins having a myriad of secrets. If you like films that have high stakes as well as unique and personal stakes then i think this film is designed for you.
Plot Overview
The plot begins with Ellie who is a college student during her summer break and she is the daughter of miss Beth Watson Yelkin. Ellie starts looking for her mother after she goes missing under circumstances that are very suspicious.she soon finds the police are not of any help framing the scenario into a run away case, Ellie decides to take matters into her hands. In the hunt she finds a hidden side of her mother that alludes to Ellie being arbored by a wealthy family member, there being debts, and Ellie being stalked by a person she has never seen before.
However, as Ellie continues to investigate this case, the story turns into a gripping thriller. Yelkin suspects jealousy of an ex-partner, business rivalry and acquaintances to be the reasons why her mother went missing. The film explains numerous conflicts and theories throughout the plot until the director finally decides to unleash the entire scene.

Family Dynamics:
In this context, the film deals with the mother-daughter relationship as well as the zeal with which one is prepared to defend the family. The film depicts bonding and trust in strong contrast to Ellie’s insistence to seek answers about her family to a lack of interest shown by her other relatives.

The remainder of the ensemble cast, most notably the flashback mother and an unethical policeman, are decent, if, on occasion, some characters tip a bit towards genre characteristics.
Focus and Technique
The direction and style of the director is such that use of extreme close panting and low lighting gets the viewer to integrate with Ellie’s gebied. The cut and breaks in the framing are moderate and make the move along in just the right pace. And the music, although somewhat bordering on the melodramatic, with the scary piano and the strings getting louder, definitely heightens the tension.
Normative Films
In case Who Kidnapped My Mom?, surprised you; there are other domestic thrillers including Gone Mom: The Disappearance of Jennifer Dulos, and The Girl in the Basement that you could watch. Who Kidnapped My Mom?, may not be the kind of film which adds new elements to the mystery ‘Who Kidnapped My Mom?’, undoubtedly, serves a blend of suspense and emotional importance. It is the kind of thriller that is best as a popcorn watch, some of the plot points at times are a little too much to take in, but over the course of watching the program case in point, twists.
